Desktop/Mobile Technician


We are looking for a skilled and experienced Desktop/Mobile Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining desktop and mobile devices, including hardware and software components. 



  • Troubleshoot and repair desktop and mobile devices, including hardware and software components
  • Install and configure operating systems, applications, and other software components
  • Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices
  • Replace damaged parts, such as screens, batteries, charging ports, hard drives, memory, and motherboards
  • Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components (servers, IPs etc.)
  • Provide technical support to end-users, answering queries and resolving issues related to desktop and mobile devices
  • Maintain accurate documentation of technical support requests and solutions provided to end-users
  • Provide remote technical support to users who are not physically present in the same location
  • Train end-users on the use of desktop and mobile devices, software applications, and security best practices
  • Ensure that all desktop and mobile devices are compliant with company policies, industry standards, and regulations
  • Maintain an inventory of desktop and mobile devices, software licenses, and other technology assets
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues that affect desktop and mobile devices
  • Manage security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from attacks
  • Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and virus/malware scans
  • Stay up-to-date with new mobile devices and technologies

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of desktop and mobile hardware and software components
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in computer operating systems, such as MS Windows, MAC OS, and Linux.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of computer systems, including networks, servers, internet  security and data privacy principles.  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and keep up-to-date with industry trends
  • High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience in the same field.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN networks
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, CCNA, etc.) will be an advantage
  • At least 1 year of experience as a computer technician or in a similar role.

Other requirements:

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
  • Valid Qatar driver’s license
  • Local hires only – Transferable visa with NOC
